Alright, first off, I'm a month into this thing and I'm still liking it enough to use it so there's that said.

Now here's what's WRONG with it:
1. The lid is NOT insulated as one might expect. This means that your top container of food gets colder (or warmer) much, much faster than the rest
2. No clip, clamp, slot or other place to keep your spork should you decide to forgo the canvas case.
3. The clips that hold the lid on feel flimsy, though as stated in other reviews, they have yet to break so I suppose I might be picky here.

What's great about it?
1. The portion sizes are fantastic for me. I'm on a diet that encourages many small meals and these containers are a great size.
2. the overall build quality seems good
3. The concept is extremely good and does translate well into practice.
4. I've likely saved $200 in the month I've been carrying this sucker to work (still taking into account the price of the food I've been packing in it and the price of the box itself)

I could not resist getting this lunch bento because it was cute. I had been lunch box shopping and found a traditional one that I really like, but spied this one and bought it on impulse. That said, I also have to admit that I had a hard time envisioning how big this was going to be by reading the dimensions--it is really big!! It will hold enough for two people with ease. It is made of melamine, which means you cannot microve it, it will need an insulated carrying bag to stay cold/warm for long. It latches shut with a decent feeling metal clasp--it is not meant to be watertight, so do not pack liquids in it!

I found it fit perfectly in my old Maxcold lunch box, which is 9.5 inches tall and 8.5 inches long. This is ideal for insulating the bento. I can fit a small, slim ice pack in the bag after I place the bento. I also sometimes put one small pack in the middle container of the bento and place it in the lunch box for insulation.

Oddly enough, immediately after I ordered this, Amazon put a note saying it was no longer available due to misinformation. I am not sure what that means--the product seems to be exactly what was written. It is just hard to envision it as a lunch box since the tiffin concept is "foreign" to us in America. That is not the product's fault.

I hate Tupperware. I never feel like it's clean. I always feel like it always smells like foods that have been stored in it long after it's been washed. These issues that I have with plastic are the reason I finally picked one of these up. I really like it. I feel like I can clean it and it doesn't hold onto odors. It's also a great size. Not too small, not too large. I am planning to pick up a couple more soon. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because it will leak if you put anything that has any sort of liquid in it.

In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Autumn Pumpkin Molasses Muffins, using sorghum in the place of molasses. I purchased a jar of sorghum at the 3rd Annual Sorghum Festival in Richmond, Kentucky, that Rick and I attended. (You can see the sorghum festival in the previous video.) These muffins are made with sorghum, but I am going to write up the recipe with molasses, because the two syrups taste very much the same, and I think it will be easier for you to find molasses! Ingredients: ½ cup butter or margarine, softened ¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar 1 cup canned pumpkin ¼ cup molasses 1 egg 1 ¾ cups self-rising flour ¾ teaspoon baking soda ½ cup chopped pecans cooking oil spray In a large bowl, cream ½ cup butter or margarine with ¾ cup brown sugar, and then beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Add 1 cup canned pumpkin, ¼ cup molasses, and 1 egg. Beat well. Combine 1 ¾ cups self-rising flour and ¾ teaspoon baking soda. Add to butter mixture, and stir until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in ½ cup pecans. Spoon batter into muffin pans that have been sprayed with cooking oil spray, filling two-thirds full. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Let cool slightly in pan, and then remove to a nice serving plate. These muffins are scrumptious on a fall day, along with a mug of hot apple cider!

I just purchased this Laptop Lunch in black. My five year old boy, a brand new Kindergartner, didn't like his purple one (too girly for his taste now). We have been using the Laptop Lunch system for his three years in preschool and love it. It's configurable, easy to clean and the plastic is sturdy so the compartment pieces never get mistaken by the teachers for disposables like some of the other lunch kits I've tried.

I ordered this one in black and dislike the giant "Laptop Lunch" logo plastered across the top of the outside container box, which is new. It looks like shwag from a tradeshow and cheapens the whole kit. I'm going to find a waterproof sticker to put over it. The inside boxes now all have corny, to my mind, vegetable graphics on them too. Not a big deal, but I have enjoyed packing my sons lunches in these containers and prefer to let the food itself do the talking.

This product is fantastic. Its built well and has a look that is Americana as can be. Don't be fooled by the photos though, this lunch box is big. Not ideal for office use, its built about the size of a small cooler. If you need a quart of coffee throughout the day and can't brew it while your out, get this guy. Need enough space for two meals? The cooler here is for you. If not, find something a little smaller.

I have been converted in one fell swoop (or maybe one fell bite is more appropriate)! The Laptop Lunch system makes lunch preparation fun and efficient. Keeps food neat, attractive. Kids more likely to eat more fruits and veggies, which was my goal for my daughter. Easy to hand wash. Fork and spoon that comes with the lunchbox very good quality. I had originally wanted a Mr. Bento, but I'm not the type who eats a large amount, especially for lunch, so I opted to purchase the Ms. Bento. It's just the right size for me. As long as you follow the directions, the food stays nice and warm for a hefty amount of time. I usually make my lunch at 7am, and then eat it at 1pm, and it's always still toasty. I usually heat everything almost to boiling, though, so that probably helps. (I have yet to use it for cold food.)
It's fairly easy to clean by hand. I have managed to stain my bottom soup container, but that's really my own fault. I haven't met a plastic container that doesn't get stained from microwaving tomato soup.
I love that it comes with a spork. I'm not the best at eating with chopsticks.
I have been trying to convince my sister to purchase one of these, but she thinks they are too expensive.

I have been using the LunchBots Duo Stainless Lunch Container AND the LunchBots Uno Stainless Containers for about 2 years. I like that these products are Stainless Steel and are REUSABLE. Both sizes are really nice and fit well in my son's lunchbox with room still for an icepack.

In the Uno container, I usually put a sandwich, yogurt, or a salad. The Duo container is great for veggies, fruit, pretzels, etc. The only negative is that the Duo divider does NOT touch the bottom which means something watery like watermelon will leak across to the other side and get that food soggy.

My first son used these when he was 3 and 4 years old and now my second son is using them and he's 2. The lids are very easy for little ones to open and close.

Two reasons why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars:
1. the divider can leak liquid across to the other side
2. the lid scratches and the paint can rub off (I stack them on top of each other in the lunchbox which rubs the lid)

FYI...the paint on my first set 2 years ago was defective and literally PEELED off within 2 months!! I called Amazon, they sent me a return label to send them back, and they shipped me out 2 new ones right away!! Great customer service :)

You will be happy with these containers :) They are definitely worth the price!!

I really like this bento. The design is ample, but compact. I like the included utensils (this was something I always used to forget!), as well as the extra insulation from the bag. The ONE thing I wish this had was a separate compartment - or maybe two smaller jars that snapped together - so that I could put cold things on one side and hot on the other. Then this would be PERFECT!

These are great. I had seen a few average reviews about the way the steel is forged on the sides....and I can say that is definitely not the case. Maybe there was a bad lot made before and has since changed, but these are made with quite good quality. They are perfect for kids or adults' lunches or snacks. And it's nice as it keeps the 2 compartments completely separate (mind you it's not made for anything with liquids).

And what's not to love, there is no plastic! no BPA, phlalates,nothing. Just pure steel with a hint of color. =)

I like the lunch bag. It's a little hard to clean tho but I get compliments at work. Everyone thinks its a purse for some reason. It's a good size if u bring a juice box and sandwich in the main compartment. Sometimes I like to bring a hot lunch in a container which won't fit in the main compartment. It's too skinny. You'll have to get an airtight container and put it on its side. And don't plan on bringing any snacks to much on throughout the day in it also.

I was expecting the product to be a good way for me to bring a nutritious lunch to work. But I hate using it. It's incredibly heavy even without food in it. Each stacking dish is so large, I end up putting more food in than I want to eat. If you fill up the whole jar, you'll have at least 2 meals.
It doesn't keep foods as hot as it should (everything was lukewarm by the time lunch rolled around. I haven't tried anything cold yet.
It's too large to fit in any other bag, so it ends up being one more thing to carry.
Finally, I've been very aware of the plastics that seep into food - I hoped that this would be a good alternative. But all the dishes are plastic (not dishwasher safe).
What a waste of money!
