It works well, such as rice and some food, lunch box recipes to find recipes, but stereotypes (sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, etc.) American food, you may need to cut to them so that they fit.

I am not saying this is a bad lunch box. I like it, it is very interesting, but if you haveLarge appetite or do not know of any recipe, the appropriate box (dimensions 5.6 × 4 × 3 英寸 follow the instructions), then I might be inclined to more traditional American lunch boxes.

Zojirushi Mr. Bento Stainless Steel Lunch Jar on Sale!

Over All Rating Reviews :
The little compartments are great for packing an amazing variety of dishes in a compact space. My co-workers are in awe at what I unpack each day: salads, fruit, yogurt, soups, rice, pasta, hummus, nuts, curry, steamed veggies. The food doesn't really stay hot though, since the container is not airtight - it is not quite a thermos, though it does provide a bit of insulation - enough for maybe a couple of hours. At least the containers are microwavable (without the lids). Do wish a handle was included on the container - it's a bit slippery to grasp when out of its carrying bag. Overall, makes lunchtime great fun.

Zojirushi Mr. Bento Stainless Steel Lunch Jar Order Today!

Over All Rating Reviews :
Mr. Bento is a fantastic product. I send my son to school with a hot entree, salad and variety of other foods every day. The hot foods stay hot, the cold foods stay cold. I find that even by the end of the day, the food remaining in the warm compartments are still warm. This product has enabled us to get around the abismal school food and the boring daily sandwich. The only negative is that the item itself is a bit cumbersome-- rarely does it fit in my son's backpack. The good news is that it comes in it's own handy carrying sack. I highly reccommend this product to anyone who wants a variety of hot and cold foods on the go.

Over All Rating Reviews :
I absolutely love my Mr. Bento! I'd been waiting to buy this for about a year and finally broke down last week and bought it. I've been using it everyday and it is everything I hoped it would be. I use it for salads and it's so easy to make my salad, it doesn't get soggy any more! I make my own salad dressing and now have a place to put it. Yes you can take several containers and separate everything but with Mr. Bento everything has it's own container and yet they are all in the same place! I used to take a plastic bag to work and had to remember to keep track of a fork or spoon, again, not anymore! I love having the spork and it also has it's own container. I think it's a great gift for people who are always busy. I'm buying several more because they aren't any more expensive then any other gift I give and I think it's so much more useful. I love it!

Crap I Hate My Co-Workers

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Attitude - Some days work sucks! But to a person that needs an attitude adjustment every day makes it that much worse, so much that you wonder if he/she made the right choice in careers. I am a strong believer in trying to limit the amount of negative things you say out in the open especially around clients. If you are always complaining, whining and criticizing something or some one, it is simple you are sucking the life out of people and making yourself a chore for anyone to be around. If you have that many things to be in a negative puddle about get a therapist or enlist the advice of a friend on your personal time. Clients, co-workers and bosses don't need to hear about your unraveling personal life they have things of their own on their mind. So if you are one of these people please be considerate and actively try to prevent your lips from moving in the direction of being a constant complainer and whiner it makes you hard to work with and people will not want to work with you in the future. If you are the fortunate one that has to tell the annoying person off, in a positive way simply state that you do not think you have the time to be able to assist him/her with her woes, because you are working! Then lightly suggest she see a therapist, they are very in right now anyway! Clients can certainly pick up on discomfort between two co-workers as much as you think you are hiding it they are smart they know, so if this person is you stop your nonsense and be respectful to others, if you have to deal with some one like this, nip it fast your clients will thank you for it.

Annoying - Well the above fits in to this category brilliantly but, I am talking about habits. This is my biggest problem - my stuff (yes I am picky about it and very territorial) I will lend anyone anything if they ask, take care of it and always put it back. Now we have all been guilty of it (even me on a busy Saturday) when you have a client and for what ever reason the comb, clip, cape is not in plain view and you just grab someone else's. And chances are they are on lunch or some where else. It happens but that does not give you and excuse to continually doing it. When you start look at your schedule make sure you have all you stuff before the client walks in (it is annoying for the client to sit and have to wait while you look for your equipment) If you are prone to having your stuff taken keep it on your person. I have a scissor holster that holds combs, clips and I have a special cutting cape that I simply hide in a stylish box with a lid that also houses my brushes. People tend not to take things if they are out of sight.

Troublesome - Avoid troublesome actions. Stealing product, money from the till any thing belonging to a client (even if it was left behind all attempts should be made to return it to them) or anything belonging to a co-worker. Stealing will have nasty karma attached to it, do it enough and eventually you will get caught. That kind of information to have attached to your name is embarrassing, and unprofessional. Not eating. Giving up or having your lunch time taken from you just so you can squeeze another client in is wrong!

ATTENTION OWNERS AND MANAGERS. Lunch time and breaks are a right not a privilege· We get hungry even if there are more walk-ins. It is a proven fact that staff who eats and has breaks (our rights) performs better, makes less mistakes and will not curse your name nearly as much! So let us eat. And please make it at a reasonable time. If I start work at 10 am and get off at 6pm I want my lunch some where between 12-2 not an hour before I go home It should be at lunch! As an employee your health is not worth risking for a job - Owners: feel free to miss lunch for the sake of another client it is your business you have the most invested but you should not expect any of your employee's to do so. Every one should give their body fuel and water. Your body is your temple and should take care of it as much as you possible can. We are in a profession where we burn calories all day long because it is such a physical job and we are standing the majority of the day. So if you think a bagel and cream cheese will do you until the later part of the day you are wrong and I know many of us do this and have for years myself included but, trust me I am healthier and happier at work when I get to feed the body that makes me the money! And deal with situations when they arise to help relax the mind to help deal with others.

Over All Rating Reviews :
I too, bought this product because the lunches they serve in the schools these days are a nightmare (chicken nuggets almost every day). My seven year old takes this to school every day and manages it quite well. He enjoys good food, is not picky and prefers my good leftovers from dinner. He has no problems taking this apart and putting it back together again by himself. I microwave the containers of warm food in the morning and they stay warm until his lunchtime with no problems. The only problem we encountered is you cannot put jello in the top container with warm food below or it will be a puddle by lunchtime. This is very minor though. I thoroughly recommend this to anyone who wants to get their child away from the breaded, processed school lunches.

Healthy Filipino Food Lunches

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but that doesn't mean it's okay to scrimp on lunch. Whether you're in school or at work, you need that midday meal to keep up your energy for the rest of the day. If, like most students and yuppies, your idea of a regular lunch is soda and crackers, you're a long way from eating right.

So what makes a healthy lunch? If you want something that's light but filling, Filipino food is your best bet. For one thing, it's cheaper than buying fast food or 'light' snacks like coffee and cookies. It also lets you choose exactly what goes into your food. It doesn't have to be rice-based or anything heavy; there are lots of easy Filipino recipes you can prepare at home. Here are a few tips to help you get started.

Plan ahead

Planning is the key to preparing healthy lunches and to healthy eating in general. When you know what you're having for the next few days, you won't be tempted to pick up that extra soda or grab an ice cream
for dessert. At the start of the week, list down your lunch choices and make a shopping list based on your
picks. Buy more than you need so you can pack a little extra for mid-afternoon munching. When planning your meals, consider the time you can spare each day for cooking. A half hour is all you need to fix a sandwich or toss up a quick salad. On really busy days, you can just buy frozen food and packed drinks.
Alternatively, you can prepare and pack your lunches in advance on light days, so you can just pick them
up when you're in a hurry.

Have something fresh

Make fresh fruits and vegetables your lunch box staples. Remember, lunch has to be lighter than breakfast; otherwise you'll feel drowsy all afternoon. Fresh produce fills you up fast but doesn't slow down
your body. Salads and veggie wraps are a great way to work vegetables into your meal. If you're watching your weight, you can replace heavy Filipino desserts recipes with fresh fruit. A chilled apple or a couple of melon slices can satisfy your sweet tooth without piling on the calories.

Most groceries sell fruits and vegetables packed into serving-size portions. It's very convenient, but you
can save as much as 50% of the price if you buy them whole and prepare them yourself. It takes about 10 minutes to peel, slice, and pack a week's worth of food.

Don't follow your cravings

When shopping for lunch items, you tend to pick up the things you crave at that very moment. More often
than not, you'll either be tempted to eat it ahead of time, or your craving will have passed by the time you
pack it. It's best to stick to your old favorites, be it a simple tuna sandwich or classic Filipino food recipes. Pick up a few treats for variety, but don't make them your entire meal. But to avoid the problem altogether, don't shop with an empty stomach-when you're hungry, your mind goes wild at the sight of food. The best times to shop are usually late morning, just after breakfast or your midmorning snack.

Watch your portions

Some containers may not look big, but they hold a considerable serving. Be careful not to overdo your
portions, as many tend to do when pre-packing. Again, it's best to pack when you're full so your cravings
don't influence your serving sizes. Get containers that hold only the appropriate portions, or have a small
'portion bowl' approximately the size of a regular serving, so you can measure your servings before packing them.

Pack light

A lot of Filipino cooking recipes come with heavy sauce or soup, which makes them hard to pack for
lunch. If you've ever spilled lunch inside your bag, you'll know how important it is to use the good, tightly
sealed containers. Better yet, don't pack heavy lunches to avoid the risk. You can keep sauces and condiments for dry food in your office, so you don't risk spilling them on the way.

If you do pack saucy dishes, try packing the solid and liquid parts separately. Use a disposable container
for pasta or vegetables, and a regular suction-sealed one for the sauce or dressing. Invest in containers
with tight rubber seals. They'll cost you more initially, but it's well worth the trouble you save in the long run.

Is Being Responsible Important?

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Responsibility is not an art which can be learnt. It is also not a gift which a friend can give to another friend. There are no tuitions or classes for people to get educated on it. Then what is it? Well, responsibility is a quality is ought to be there in everybody. It is something which all of us should have. Now, the next big question is when and how can someone show or prove that he or she is responsible enough? Well, it can be shown in our actions. The way to behave and take care of our own things shows how responsible we are. This quality is shown when we do whatever we are supposed to do in a correct manner.

In order to be responsible a person needs to first take care of his own things. Someone has correctly said "Charity begins at home". So, till the time a person is not taking his own things seriously, one cannot expect him to be caring for others. This trait can be observed in small kids as well. Small and little things showCase how responsible a person or even a kid is. Is your kid forgetting his lunch box in school every day? Is your kid not concerned about losing things like toys, candies, books, pencils etc. wherever he goes? Well, irresponsible behavior does not need a specific definition. It can be easily observed if you want to. It is imperative to take corrective measures in the initial years of your kid. This can only be done by explaining him the importance of right things.

It is important to inculcate the qualities of responsibility in your kid at early stages of his life because only then you can expect him to show same traits once he grows up. Kids understand "cause and effect" theories. Hence, it is important for parents to explain the reason for asking them to do a specific thing in a particular manner. Indeed, it is important to be responsible. Children learn from people they spend most of their time with. So, if you behave in a particular manner, the probability of your kid doing the same thing is pretty high.

Children in early stages of their life are like apes. They copy everything they see around. By changing few things in your lifestyle you can make your child's future bright. So, start off today and see your child turning into a more responsible kid. And of course the smartest one around!!

Helping Your Child Through His First Day Of School

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Your child's first day at school is going to be full of so many mixed emotions. Your child is going to be excited yet nervous. You are going to be nervous, worried and yet excited for your child. The biggest help you can provide your child is to mask as many of your emotions as possible. Your child has their own emotions to deal with without worrying about yours. You need to be able to concentrate on what your child is going through. This will be one of the most important days in their life. How they handle it will determine how they handle the education process for the next twelve plus years.

Preparation is the main key. Talk to your child about school in the months leading up to their first day. Let them see the school. Take them to the orientation day where they can see the school, start to meet new friends and of course meet the teachers. Let them help with the purchase of their school clothing, their lunch box and school bag. The more involved in the process they are the more relaxed they will be.

Talk to your child. As parent you should be able to lead the conversation. Find out what your child's expectations are. You may even have to moderate those expectations. As a parent our role is to prepare the child so they are ready for that first day. Explain the routine for the first day and how it differs to home or day care life.

The first day. Prepare well the day before. Try to treat the morning as normally as possible. There will of course be changes. Now you may be time driven particularly if you also work or there are younger siblings. Let the child help with the preparation of their lunch box. If everything is prepared there will be little drama before leaving home. Once you get to school, if you have prepared well your child will be eager to leave your side and start playing with new friends and to start learning new things.

That is the hard part as a parent. To see your child happily leave your side for the day eager to take on a new adventure. Of course, if they have attended some form of day care then the pressure on them and on yourself will be lessened. If not - you have helped your child through their first day at school - now the question is who is going to help 'you' through their first day at school?

Where to Buy Scrubs

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Shopping in today's world is a simple thing. With online shopping more readily available, finding that one special item that you just can't seem to find at a store is now at your fingertips. If you are trying to find that lunch box that you used to carry to school thirty years ago to keep as a collector's item, the odds are pretty good that you will be able to locate someone online who is trying to sell theirs for a price. No matter what it is you are shopping for, if you are searching online, you are most likely going to find it.

The same thing goes when it comes to shopping for barco metro scrubs. There are many different places where you can purchase the scrubs you are looking for. For instance, if you are looking for a particular color or pattern of scrubs, all you have to do is type the search criteria into your search engine and watch the results appear on your screen. Nowadays there are hundreds of websites dedicated to selling scrubs online.

If you are trying to determine where to buy scrubs but you don't want to make the purchase online or pay the shipping costs, you have several choices there too. All you have to do is find a medical supply store that sells scrubs. Or, you might even be able to find a local hospital where they may sell scrubs as well. If you are really lucky, you might even try to look at the local Halloween costume shop. Being a doctor for Halloween is one of the most popular costumes, so they just may have a cheap set of scrubs. You could even search garage sales!

If you are a hospital employee, the hospital may be able to recommend a store or online website where you can purchase your scrubs. If you are really lucky, the hospital that you work for just may actually provide the scrubs for you, rather than you having to buy the scrubs yourself. This will save you lots of precious time and money. If you are looking to find tall medium scrub pants, you might have better luck if you search online for a big and tall scrub store. Sometimes it can be difficult to find extra long pants for your regular clothes to wear, let alone trying to find extra long scrubs!

No matter what the reason is that you are looking to buy scrubs is, the options that are out there for you to purchase those scrubs is limitless. With the advances on the internet nothing is beyond your fingertips. If you are looking for that one perfect pair of scrubs, just remember to keep your eyes peeled. You never know where you might find them!

The New American Lunch Box

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Take a minute to reflect back... Remember when you were kid? Now, try to conjure up this specific childhood memory - your wonderful lunch box! You were cool, fun, and felt confident sporting this brand new piece of gear. This box and what it was filled with often reflected who you were. It was your first independent introduction into society. After all, didn't your very own lunch box mean you were finally a big kid!

Boys often carried western or space themed lunch boxes, girls went with Barbie, and younger children with a wide variety of Disney characters. All I remember is that I was stuck carrying the plaid design and the girl across the street, Cheryl Shelmadine, had a Lassie the Wonder Dog lunch box. I didn't. What were my parents thinking? Regardless of the style, lunch boxes have represented, as well as reflected, a major part of American cultural history.

Luckily for our children, we live in a dynamic area. We can gain access to the wonderful traditions of so many cultures. Once incorporated with our fresh local foods, and given a twist on presentation... POOF! The new American lunch box - the bento box.

Bento boxes surfaced in Japan about 900 years ago with the creation of hoshi-ii. Hoshi-ii means "dried meal" - it is rice that has been cooked and then dried. Bento boxes were once simple containers housing individually packaged portions of rice, meat or fish, and pickled or cooked vegetables. Through the ages, they have progressed from oak or bamboo leaf wrapped portions into lacquered wooden boxes, shiny aluminum, and modern day plastics.

There are contests held where people compete to win prizes and prestige for designing the most elaborate bento boxes. This type of artistic bento is called a kyaraben. They aesthetically arrange the foods to resemble people, flowers, plants, or animals. Some are so beautiful they look too good to eat... well almost!

Of course, bento boxes are still available today in many locations throughout Japan, but now bento boxes are taking America by storm! Traditional Japanese bento boxes are quickly becoming the must have lunch box for otherwise brown paper baggers. A visit to today's school cafeterias might have some parents thinking they've stepped into a new culture when they see these trendy new lunch containers. It's not all about appearances though - bento boxes are fun to fill, pleasing to the palette, prevent foods from getting smashed, and make packing a lunch both cost and time effective.

Lunch boxes today are still the ultimate in personal style and expression. Even not carrying one is often for the sake of fashion. Whatever your taste, lunch boxes continue to be a reflection of American culture. The bento box is simply a plastic container housing other various shaped containers for your foods stuffs. Sometimes they are stacked, square round, flat, or whatever your desire. There are designer bento boxes are available featuring popular cartoon characters and fun designs - hopefully not plaid. You can even accessorize your bento with fun flatware to match, and miniature bottles no larger than your thumb for salad dressings, soy sauces or other flavorings of your choice.

I recently purchased a "laptop bento" for my daughter, Danielle. It came in a thermal cooled case that resembles a notebook computer - and of course, it was almost the same price. It is a typical bento for a "Middle Schooler" - not too flashy. Once opened, the case reveals spaces for all different kinds of goodies. Each space has its own lid and they fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. She absolutely loves it!

Packing A Bento

No matter how old my kids get, they still love helping to pack their lunches with fun foods. When we go hunting for bento box fun we frequent the Japanese dollar store in downtown in San Mateo. They have a great variety of kid friendly lunch packing items. One of my favorites are the food molds. With absolutely no major artistic kitchen skills you can shape foods into simple animals, cars, trucks, trains, plants, or people shapes. Try them out with brown rice and veggies for an Asian flair, tuna or chicken salad, eggs, or even make must-have-meatballs with them!

Just like the use of the Japanese containers - use fusion when packing them. California nouvelle cuisine is a blend of cultures, using fresh local ingredients and new fun presentation style on any classic meal. These tiny treasure chests are great for serving up leftovers in a fresh new way that will have your children eager to see last night's meal again. Remember to be creative and artistic when packing a bento and to involve your child. Use cookie cutters to make uniquely shaped "tea sandwiches", layer foods for presentation, and include little containers of their favorite dips. The better it looks and the more input they have the more likely they are to eat it!

Use these fun lunch packs and fuse some of your own cultural sensations inside. Here are some ideas to get you going. Incorporating a variety of foods your child enjoys will make them much less likely to succumb when they hear "I'll trade you!" in the cafeteria.

Mac 'n Cheese - Left over macaroni and cheese, fresh sliced tomatoes, steamed veggies, and fresh finger fruits (grapes, berries, cherries, cubed melons, sliced kiwi, etc.). They'll be sure to devour this child friendly favorite. All housed in the separate containers or pressed into fun shapes.

Snack Attack - Diced fresh finger fruits and veggies, sliced cheeses, cubed turkey breast or ham, and multi-grain crackers make for a delightful blend of flavors and nutrition. Don't forget to add crackers and your favorite vinaigrette in a small fun sized bento squeeze bottle.

Dinner for lunch- -Your favorite shaped meatballs, brown rice, sliced fresh veggies, and low-fat yogurt to dip. This bento is also great with leftover spaghetti!

Pot Roast Personified - Diced left over pot roast, roasted root veggies, fresh finger fruits, and a garden salad. Served cold, with a piece of buttered whole grained pita bread.

Super Salads - Molded tuna, chicken, or seafood salad, whole grain crackers, fresh fruits and veggies, and cute baby cheese. Don't forget to add sliced red bell peppers. They are really sweet to eat - especially with cream cheese to dip them in.

Now, with some bento experience under my belt I can honestly say that not only do kids love these crafty containers - but I do too. They are also great for picnics, travel lunches, or any time you'll be away from home. They just make sense! One more important thing... bento boxes do require some washing after the box arrives home. This is another great opportunity though to get the kids involved and teach some early childhood responsibility as they help wash up their lunch box and get it ready for the next day.
